For 15 years, Philadelphia magazine has presented a Design Home to the public. Each Design Home has been a unique example of the latest market trends. Proceeds from the ticket sales for the Design Home tours are given to a local charity. Diane Bishop Interiors led this team of the Builder, Architect and all of the sponsors to make this a successful event in 2010, 2011, 2013 and 2014.
Design Home 2010
NINTH Annual Design Home. We were intent on designing this home to be both elegant and warm. Since it was designed for a family of six, we knew the look would be very specific, and we made sure that we gave purpose and style to every space in the home. The overall design is classic, with a contemporary twist. Every room draws you in and invites you to take a closer look. This house will really felt like home for this family.
Design Home 2011
TENTH Annual Design Home. A historic renovation and addition to a classic Main Line Manor Home, in Haverford, PA. This home will be modernized in every conceivable way, providing a safe, comfortable and enjoyable environment for raising a family. The home’s interior was designed by Diane Bishop of Diane Bishop Interiors.
Design Home 2013
TWELFTH Annual Design Home. This years Philadelphia magazine Design Home is a luxurious 8,000 square foot, four story home at Wrenfield in Villanova, PA. The beautifully appointed home features a 3-story Reception Hall with an architecturally grand staircase and a foyer chandelier that is a replica of the elegant crystal chandelier seen in the 2002 James Bond movie, Die Another Day. Another grand feature of the home is the master bedroom – with two custom designed closets, a sitting area plus two master baths.
Design Home 2014
THIRTEENTH Annual Design Home. The Philadelphia magazine Design Home 2014 looks like it has been in the neighborhood for years and yet it is all new construction full of surprises. The home is located in Wyndmoor and has the charm of neighboring Chestnut Hill. It is designed for today’s modern family.
